@dragonheadofthewest it isn't very common to find someone who speaks really advanced English out of the big cities, but many people know a little English. Plus, a little effort to speak Japanese goes a long way in people warming up to you! I spoke very little, but I tried really hard to use what I knew, and people were extremely sweet to me.
