On February 1, 2010, a Cambodian family in South Park, Washington experienced a terrible loss. The loss of their house and 17-year-old son Prackserth (Patrick) Soeun. Friends left gifts and messages. These may have been symbols of shared memories between Patrick and his friends, or it may be a part of Cambodian Buddhist culture; food is given to keep the passed well-fed as he makes the journey to the next life. Either way, these are signs of sentiment in a caring community.
I am sorry for your loss, may God bless Prackserth and his family.
