From game one in Quebec. The Russian roster and coaching staff were introduced first. As normal, I'm highly interested in the atmosphere of events such as this, as well as the focus on the faces and locations. This series is out on DVD, at least most of it, and I highly recommend the released set of games.

@AllanR2D2 The NHL would love them to defect, such wonderful talents but in soviet russia they dont let you defect it.

I wonder how many NHL teams were licking their chops - just praying for any of the Soviet players to defect? Security within the Soviet team probably made that impossible though.

After the last Soviet player is introduced and he skates out on to the ice, look over his left shoulder. In the first row, is that a NUN sitting there???
