I had a lot of fun with this one and i think i may adopt this style when i record from now on (when it comes to drafts anyway). kind of talking about it first and then recording. and still keep the old style where i have the words in front of me and have practiced it a bit before recording. There's some funny stuff that was missed out on cause this was the 2nd recording but it still has some other funny stuff like the faces i make at the end. priceless.
I've been listening to Speechwriters LLC a lot. this isnt anywhere close to their extreme talent but it makes me think of them as well as They Might Be Giants. If you know of/listen to either of them you might see what i mean.
Here are the actual lyrics i dunno if its real close to what i said or not:
Its cold outside, didnt bring your coat
Started raining, we were on a boat
My hair got frizzy. you know how that goes
We hit an iceberg, wasnt an iceberg
But a whale, a real big whale
Its hot outside, you didnt bring a hat
You forgot your sunscreen and got a burn on your back,
Walk back to the car, see its got a flat
You didnt bring a jack, theres sand in your crack
Thats an epic fail, epic fail
Went to the post office, had to wait in line
Just need some stamps, youd be fine
After an hour, youve had enough
I left the line and went outside
To get hit by a truck, got hit by a truck
Everything just isnt going your way
You see all the little factors ruining your day
You want to turn to the world and scream
You have to look on the brighter side of things
But just remember it could always get worse
Just remember it could always get worse
Just go slow, at your own pace
And bring a smile back to your very sad face
i think im gunna play if i had a million dollars at the open mic
