Yes this was a recovery attempt of the previous days failed attempt. What is left out is after these three go in the water, they send another boat in with two sheriff deputies to rescue the three new victims and that boat gets sucked under as well!

Now wait a minute, the narrator says that a fireman was drowned during a rescue the previous day....so is this video showing a second drowning...in other words, this is the third set of people to go under at this spot?

How hard is it for people to see this picture. Don`t fuck with the dam(swimming boating anything) It`s not the dam thats dangerous it`s the people who think they can get close to it .Go play in the street.

i am pretty sure i think about that all the time. i think that if you let it take you to the bottom you can swim out f the hydraulic. what really makes these dangerous is the life jacket that holds you on the surface making it impossible to swim to the bottom

Thanks for taking the time and letting me know. If you get stuck in 1 can you dive right down and push away from the wall? Do you know what i mean? There must be a way you can swim away from it.

they are used to contain the river levels but are a terrible idea. I know I watched a close friend of mine get sucked into one. Luckily her lifeguard certified dad jumped into the hydraulic and pushed her out. theses need to be taken care of in a bad way.

Far out- no bouyancy aids and they were trying to get out a body - not even a live person- who'd already died in a previous rescue. What a sad way to go. I'm glad that there's more awareness out there these days but unfortunately we still see far too many contemporary news reports of people risking their lives in the water- generally because they don't even know the risks involved. Posting informatives is a great learning tool - for those sensible enough to take it on board.
