I reallly dislike how people say this sucks, it's the same Alkaline Trio just matured sound. They still sound amazing, I loved alll of their other albums, all of them. There isn't a single song by Trio I dislike, including their newer things, you have an opinion but saying they suck cause of one album...extremely ignorant.

Every Alkaline Trio album has been my favourite at one point or another. I think I've settled with Goddamnit being their best, but Agony and Irony seriously has to be up there. Fucking amazing.

@Dblo4445 They're getting old..and they're writing about their mistakes honestly. They're realizing that they're not married, they're 40 years old out on the road still living their dreams. If you listen to all of their music you'd realize that, and respect it. It's music at the least, you're not a real musician/music-fan if you don't like all genres of music for their sentimental values. So, you people with thumbs down, SUCK IT.

@xkevinc I defenatly agree with you and to add another point to that, "punk rock" as it was in 1998 like in Goddamit isnt the same at all as it today. For example on songs like 97 or cringe, guitar tracks arent like that anymore, its just a different style these days so when people say they need to go back to that it doesnt make sense

I prefer this album over the newest. I mean...those songs just seem forced to me. Like, they attempted to dip back into the earlier Trio, but for me, it did not work. I have no problem with this nor Crimson. Quite liked them actually.

Who says newer generations can't appreciate older music? I'm in high school and I've liked Pink Floyd and Steely Dan forever. By the way Alkaline Trio rocks. End of story.
