Hey how good is the Black Knight Shield compared to other shields? Because I got it in the Undead Parish and it seems a lot better than every other shield in the area :S

@IronBahamut The thing about equipment in Dark Souls is that you can't judge it just by its raw number (in this case, defense). BKS is a great shield but it requires a ton of strength to use it AFAIK, so you'll need to basically build a strength character in order to handle it properly. If you are planning a dex/faith build or a caster, it's a terrible choice. Most equipment in Dark Souls is viable, it just depends on what you need it to do.

@SuperSymn True! If you're planning on being a sunbro (Warrior of Sunlight) or being summoned a lot, it's in your best interest to at least buy the Heal miracle off of Petrus. It'll save you a lot of heartache when dealing with hosts who don't understand that their estus heals you.

after several hours i could defeat that boss (Ornstein last......what is a pain in the ass) alone (because i was out of humanity....and playing offline).......dammm that was very intensse boss.....

hmm i guess i understand why people would think this game is hard, its not the typical action rpg where all you need to do is rush in the melee and spam the attack button

See now it costs u nearly 40k to level up an ur level 50 already, so by the time u have a decent build u will be around level 90 or so. If you had put ur points into str/dex/int/faith you wud have had ur build pretty much complete by now and cud have just used the remaining levels for endurance and vit. Now it will cost you way more and take much longer. As an example i got to anor londo at level 30 and had a faith of 24, and i just used miracles an occult weapons for the whole area.
