Absolutely beautiful and stunning song!!! I'm not Icelander and i can't understand a word but i admire you Icelanders. Such small nation but you accomplished a lot.. Forget financial crisis, forget problems you have a pure treasuer you have your beautiful country of Iceland. As big and good man J.P. @Elmithian wow, very interesting. so, basically the exact same dialect. as when blood axe and eric the red were on the rampage! what about new stuff like computer or television?

english changes all the time. we struggle with 200 year old text.

@viago2 Yeah, it is what happens when a place is that isolated from the rest of the world.

In such situations either language takes a huge change or hardly changes at all. Thankfully it was the latter for us, as we can read books over 800 year old that were written here without needing any formal training.
