Battlegrounds 2 Line Battle: Officer Failure

Horrible commander first orders everyone to hold their fire...then when he orders fire no one is there to shoot. Then when the squad holds their fire he doesn't order the fire order as they get gunned down.

Next the same officer leads his men into tall grass where they cannot see who they are shooting at.

so how many players are there in this game? aprox?

@Hoboman145 In this particular server there were prolly...35-40. If you mean server population...usually people are on on a weekend and there would be 1 line battle server filled with 40 or so people and a couple other servers with a total pop of like 20-30

Part of the reason I stopped playing, tbh. Scrubbie commanders stab half of their team at the beginning of the round. That and the whole "don't aim at officers" rule.

Idiots claim it's "realistic" and yet they've never heard about the Battle of Bemis Heights, or any other provisional riflemen regiment, or company of skirmishers. Towards the end of the war it was a standing order for riflemen to aim AT the commanders on purpose.

@jigglypiggly Eh it really isn't about being realistic it is more about gameplay. I mean if this rule wasn't in place...everyone would be aiming at the commander and there would be no officers.

@Harvest8888 Cont- Some of the best rounds I've had were from random commanders who took over after the main commander got shot.

@jigglypiggly ya but I'm sure whoever shot them was punished. If everyone knew it was ok to fire at the commander the line would go down like a set of dominos.

The point of being in camo is not being in a line :P

Are you allowed to do various tactics in this game? Like get into cammo and spread out and ambush or is it just line combat?

Whenever I become commander, my tactics will defy logic.

One time on Concord, the other team was on the bridge, so I ordered my team into the river (which should have gotten us slaughtered). The British fired and took out of one of my men. While the Brits were reloading, we did a charge and took them all out.

I got flamed to hell from the enemy team.
