this was gr8 but yeah her 96 compulsory really shows how maturity can add 2 style & flair. that one makes this one look mechanical, as good as it is.

Anybody know the title of this music? I know it's by or performed by Nicola Hall, but I'm trying to find it on iTunes. Thanks!

Oh, and I agree that this performance was underscored. The compulsories are all about proper technique and attention to detail, and perhaps only the Soviets did that better than Shannon.

Are you joking? She had so much fluidity and grace at these Olympics, they were definitely better then the '96, she was so much lighter and smaller. Gymnasts are always better when they are younger.

I disagree. Mature gymnasts give a much better performance.

Its fine to disagree but my point was gymnastics is much easier to when you are young and you have reached an elite level for many reasons including weight, not having gone through puberty, not feeling pressure or getting stressed out easily. That is why Shannon had so much better of Olympics here then in '96, too many things got to her. That is also why people make such a big deal when countries send underage gymnasts to the Olympics because they have an advantage.

I hear your argument. I was simply speaking about the quality in her movements. The maturity in her later years led to much more fluidity and amplitude in all her skills.

I agree kubrick. However, there are some young ones who just have that certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to dance and in this performance Miller truly shines

Absolutely. She showed she would get there, but it just wasn't quite at 100% with it in 1992.

violin music is always a great choice for shannon miller, she just knows how to respond to the music and dance gracefully to the lovely tune of the violin.
