  • This Bansuri flute has been made by Harsch Wardhan ( you can easily find his website) . She is in E key , that means the lowest note is a B . With the traditionnal hindustani position of the hands, it is not a problem to play it . if you practice without stress and begin by slow scales, it will come in a few weeks. In fact this position is much more ergonomic than our occidental handing.

  • @dkmkartha thanks you very much :)

  • @jazzflutist Are you serious? I could send you a bansuri, depending on where you live. But as you know, such long flutes take enormous finger stretching for their playing. I have played the bansuri for 21 years and for me to graduate from a D flute to C (lowest note) took two years, and then it took 6 years to move to a B Flat and now I play a flute with the lowest note G Sharp, but it takes a long time and patience. If you rush the process, subtle nervous pains can develop. Good luck.

  • @payampajoohi If you go to e-bay and enter Bansuri Bamboo flute, you will get various hits. If you are in the US Kirti Shah's World Flutes, Ali Akbar Khan College of Music, etc. are dependable sources. In Europe there are many dealers in cities like Berlin, Wien, etc. By the way, the lowest note on his flute might be B Flat and that makes it a bansuri with E Flat as the tonic.Good Luck. DKM Kartha
