@Avwillfan89 Because the film was made for television(HBO that is) it was not eligible for an Oscar. However it was eligible for an Emmy and a Golden globe which the film won as well as the actors.

Angels in America had stupendous moments; Emma Thompson scared the s**t out of me when she burst through the roof. And who doesn't love the incomparable Meryl Streep.

@stephy198920011 No problem I for sure have to grow up in a lot of ways,funny because I dislike patronizing a lot ;-) But I think every character in this play is not good or bad,not even Roy Cohn...they all represent something and by growing up I meant don't hate.But thanks that's the good thing about this great stories we learn and learn,I'll try not to be pratronizing in the future,Oh boy ONLY IN AMERICA¡
