To me this is a poor interpretation of Chopin's 4th Ballade... I almost can't believe it

@freeqwerqwer What isn't to your taste about this performance?
-
because so many as you say "persons" became boring
-
why do we all find this so amazing and wonderful and not a single person plays like this anymore?

Odno iz samih estestvennih ispolnenij: on ne "dushit" melodiju, o4enj legko slushaetsja. Spasibo! s nastupajushim!

upon listening to his 1949 chopin concert, i can tell that is sofronitsky playing. Even on a 'out-of-tune' piano (btw which is Scriabin's piano...), his distinctive musicality prevails over bad sound.

Te gek!

Having heard his fabulous rendition of the 3rd ballad, I had been feverishly anticipating for this 4th ballad. However, I was unprepared for this ideosyncratic interpretation which is totally incongruent to my own ideas for this piece. I don't think it's Sofronitsky playing or he may have had a bad hair day.
Could you tell me where you got this from please? There is no discographical reference to a Sofronitsky Ballade 4 that I could find and I have never heard anyone mention one in all these years (unless my memory is playing tricks on me).
