Trapped! Experimental Section

So I couldn't resist subjecting this tiny regents-chemistry-loving bug to an experiment- how long would it take the bug to find the exit? Do bugs this small use any form of reasoning to leave perilous situations or do they just run about randomly in an instinctual response to being penned in? As hard as it might be to get into the neural circuitry of a bug, I think this video shows that the lil bug ain't thinkin' much. But tell us if you disagree!
