  • I'm off to work at the moment, I really did enjoy this video, and agree with you on pretty much all of the points! - I will respond and elaborate soon! - Kyle

  • cool man.

  • this doesn't really have much to do with the topic, love what u say still. But just from a functional perspective, could you take the extra second to post your video responses as responses to what you are responding too. Sometimes it's not easy finding the argument you have been presented with in the first place. Thanks.

  • sorry 'bout that, I did post it as a reply, but sometimes YT doesn't cooperate.

  • Have you read The Marriage of Sense and Soul by Ken Wilbur? He says that a scientist today that refuse to meditate is like a priests of old that refused to look into Galileo's telescope. Meaning, if a scientists is not willing to go through the injunction, the proven injunction of meditation, then they are incapable of entering the discussion about consciousness. Cool stuff...

  • I owned that book, until the post office lost it! I really enjoyed it.

  • Berkeley. It's ok for a scientist to be a materialist. A philosopher can't be.

  • FAG! get some friends

  • I found it interesting what you said about the further out people go in the third person, the more it seems to loop back around to the first person. It makes me think of how hard it is to study consciousness. People can't step outside of themselves, so it's hard to get an objective viewpoint of what is actually going on.

  • Now, what would be this faith? your faith looks like Kant to me, or even worse, Plato. What do you think about Nietzsche? Such a misunderstood philosopher. Behind every noun we have a verb, and having faith is not taking in to account the process, a eternal becoming. What's the point about beliving? As you seem to like buddhism, i think the word you are most likely looking for would be attachment

  • I think, for this particular point, as you said you have "faith" in the scientifical method, is useful to explore what maturanas understands for language, which is a "plane" "dominion" (My english fails me here) epiphenomenal to the development of the human being as a autopoietical entity contingently to what whe could call the reality, but this reality is nothing but the effects that are triggered determined by its own structure. Idealism/Materialism Is a false dichotomy imho

  • Hahahah

"I just got out of bed 2 minutes ago and here is a direct upload." zzzz..
