Cowardly politicians, such as Sanford, typically USES holy things just as love and the bible, for their own selfish use, political purpose and greed. Religion is a good thing on its own but it's given a bad name because of (evil) human beings who uses them for their own causes. This is no exception. How can he himself use example of King David to his own mistake, Shameless! It's for others to bring up to perhaps console him of his guilt. But it's very clear this person has no conscience.
