I looked up my name many times it has multiple meanings. In French, it means golden bird or if you look in the dictionary its a french window. In german, it means compund of fire and strife. And in Spanish, it means golden black bird. The Russian meaning must be new because in all the name books it was never stated. I'm of French, black, german, and Irish, scottish decent (among others). My mother new her French ancestors and know the source of my name came from France as is my middle name.

@backspins24 I agree with you about the different meanings of "Oriel". I am near to accept, that the russian word for "eagle" would be written "Oriyol" to express the real articulation. Greetings from Berlin! PS: I am interested in starsigns/zodiacs. Do you know the sign of Oriel, Amanda Drury and Rebecca Meehan? I am a capricornus ;-)
