This is a 2004 video composed of excess footage shot after a human-robot interaction experiment at the MIT Media Lab. The camera was left running, and the robot's AI software was still active after the experimenter left the scene. This was not staged, but found on the study tapes.

The sepia segment is older footage from before the robot's motor control was all finished.

A surprisingly similar video was used by GM in their 2006 superbowl campaign. Coincidence? I don't think so.

  • does it make gremlins when you get it wet?

'soul' can never be digitally reproduced. its just a set of inputs for certain outputs, and is all down to the programmer.

look at the rat brain in a petri dish flying an F22 - even though its an organic processor, it still hasn't buzzed the tower!!!
