On the 5th of February 2009 Alfredo Tassi died on the stage of the Theater Auditorium- Gran Theatre
in Dijon, he was a 27 years old from Offida AP.He was working as
stagehand for the theater company Societas Raffaello Sanzio from Cesena and he
died while setting up the play Inferno, trying a complex stage machine
that was part of the show.
Alfredo died before the ambulance could get there. The autopsy revealed internal injuries to the
liver and to one kidney that caused the death, while the company, at the beggining
momento aveva parlato di un infarto.
said it was caused by heart attack.
The enquiry started by the french court about the event, is still in progress.
During the Alfredos funeral in Offida, the 8th of February 2009, a rappresentative of the
Societas read out a letter that offended the feelings of some of the people,
friends and pals of Alfredo
The letter seemed to reduce the death of Alfredo to the tragic consequence of a game
and without considering it a proper accicent on the work place
On the 12th of March 2009 in the FNAC in Genova, Chiara Guidi, member of Raffaello Sanzio
together with musician Scott Gibbons, held a conference to introduce
the show that was about to be played during those days in Theater of Tosse in Genova, The Cryonic Chants.
At the end of the conference few questions were asked to Chiara Guidi about
what happened in Dijon and about the behaviour of the company after the accident.
The aim was to raise the issue of the safety on the work place in
the shows of the Societas Raffaello Sanzio and more, in general, in theater enviroment,
to understand if somethig more could have been done and can be done.
This is the video about the discussion with Chiara Guidi about these matters.
