@horseawareness a bitless bridle works by applying pressure to the very thin nasal bone of the horse and if misused can cause terrible damage to the horse just the same as a bit can. A bridle whether bitless or not is a tool and is only as good as the person using it, there's no point insisting that one is better than the other when they can both hurt the horse when used incorrectly.

@horseawareness Well that seems a little harsh. Yes, there are PLENTY of riders who are hard handed and cruel, but there are also plenty of riders who aren't. Any bit can be cruel, it all depends on who has their hands on the reins. Same goes for things like hackamores; put it in the hands of the wrong person and you have the same painful experience for the horse.

This message goes out to the guy who whacked the horse at the start... Fuck you.

This shit makes me want out of the horse world. Sorry for the language, but fuck it all. People are only motivated by money and anyone who says they love their horse but treat it like this (which is 99% of all horse people) does NOT love their horse. The words are hollow and do not mean a single damn thing to those who sacrifice their horse's welfare for cash.
I am SO SICK of the horse world. Every where you go there are dumb humans dominating these poor animals and they all think good of it..

The most important part of any bit or horse head gear are the hands that hold it.
-
The people who do that to their horses deserve to have all of their teeth plucked out

My older sister agrees with you horseawareness, a bit don't need to be used, she taught me how to ride at up to a trot bareback w/out any tack and she wont teach me anymore because i cut me knee real bad and she still needs to find her bitless bridle.(the only reason she can't find it is she moved about a weak ago and is still unpacking.)

Please... These are crazy Russian amateurs, not professionals. Obviously you can see, that what they are doing, is not working(you can use any expression you like for the non-sense in this video). But would a horse jump a 1.60m course, being forced? I don't think so... And most horses who are competing in 1.50-1.60m classes use a snaffle bit.
The problem is not the bit. The problem is the rider!

I'm honestly trying to figure out where in the world they found such atrocious riders - let alone multiple ones. Seriously, I've never first hand witnessed such honest horse abuse (IMHO) and yet there are multiple riders during what seems to be the same event. Very concerned. But, as others say, a bit is a tool or means of communication - it becomes abusive when it is confused with a tool of control. Simple as that.

the way people ride is to blaim here not the bits themselves.. the bit should only be used as a guide .. they are disgusting riders ..all of them

@cinnimonandnoah98 thank you. thank you. wanna team up? hahaha
i tried usunig a bitless bridle and some horses cant tolerate it. my horse is one of them... i was extremely light with my hands and aids and he would flip his head every where when any pressure was applied. i use a snaffle on him nad he responds much better, i still use a light hand and if he gets out of control i dont yank his mouth i simply turn him in a circle untill he slows enough for me to dismount and either lunge him or assess the issue. these riders are horrible.

@DIEGOxRULES : You are wrong and on the wrong channel if you are still blaming the horse for your inability to ride without a bit. Very common excuse from people that don't know, if must be the horse since it can't me be. IT is you and not the horse, wise up.
