some aspects might be true, like how they fought ect. But the movie made it look like the spartans are the "good guys", that is most likely far from the truth. In fact it was the spartans who burned down a persian town, thats why xerxes desided to invade them in the first place. Their society where brutal and almost always at war with other nations, thats why they died out. Its like making a movie in the future about the nazies being good. No doubt they where skilled in war to.

@Troforso that is true i studied history at uni and learn a bit bout everything braveheart has more historical events in the movie that really happened and 300 a bit of it is true but the movie was made based on a comic book or something so you got all these weird characotors like the immortals and shit the movie could have been made alot better if they stuck to reality the spartans thought really were very talented warriors the part about being taken when they were kid to learn to fight is true

braveheart is just the best. 300 is fake, the spartans was just a old type of farcists and didnt exaclty care fore others, so the story is a lie. braveheart has some truth to it, so theese movies are on different levels.
