Prior to the Intel Developer Forum, we like to see what Intel Atom powered mobile Internet devices (MIDs) the Intel Ultra Mobility Group is packing up for the ultimate geekfest. This was shot September 16, 2009 at Intel headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
Thank you for correcting me - you're right, she's showing a Linux-based machine at 1:13. My point is that I don't personally see Windows in the picture in a couple of years. Kids this days are going to re-define the demands and "one to fit all end users" will not work. people started learning about options other than "bulky" products Microsoft is selling. I think Android is just the beginning.

Nothing really new here. Where's Linux and the other OSes? For example all the toys here are using Windows which has no future and will die slowly, outrun-ed by dozens of light, cheap and fast OSes. Btw. it doesn't fit the future and the mobility demands if some Redmond guys don't brake the ties to its classic OS design.

This is some nice UMPC but what I'm really surprised is that the Apple MacBook Air is still the thinnest Notebook (even thinner than any UMPC shown here) on the planet even after two years and it's still more powerful than any of those UMPC! Apple really managed to do a nice job with it.
