A lawyer for the defense was ejected from the courtroom as the trial of the Iraqi ex-leader Saddam Hussein over the massacre of Shiite villagers resumed on Monday in Baghdad.

2- Shots from the dispute between Lebanese lawyer Bushra Khalil and Judge Rauf Abdel Rahman

The Lebanese lawyer, Bushra Khalil, was ejected from the courtroom after arguing with Judge Rauf Abdel Rahman over her first ejection in April.

The judge told Khalil, "You are a lawyer, you should play by the rules". The lawyer was escorted shouting out of the courtroom.

3- Shots of the dialogue between Saddam Hussein and Judge Rauf Abdel Rahman

After the removal of his lawyer, Saddam Hussein rose, stating, "I am Saddam Hussein. I am the president of Iraq," to which the judge answered, "You were the president, now you are the defendant."

4- Details from the trial session

Witnesses were expected to testify over the 148 Shiites villagers from Dujail sentenced to death by the former revolutionary court judge Awad al-Bandar in 80s. Saddam and his seven co-defendants could face death penalty if founded guilty over the accusations of torture and murder. After the Dujail trial, Hussein and six others will face charges of genocide over the 1988 Anfal campaign that left around 100,000 Kurds dead.

  • The Judge loves overpowering Saddam, Saddam thinks he;s still boss. The dumb cunt,

  • @Mauricio7344 In most cases yes, but as for this guy that doesn't apply. I'm from Kuwait and this sick fuck invaded us in the middle of the night for no reason. Not to mention what he did to Iran and kurds and the use of chemical weapons. This guy is pretty bad believe me. :)

  • @burnthisvillage All you have to do for being a smart individual is to look at the facts, hear the the other side of the story and link the two sides together -> THINK, ANALYZE and CONCLUDE. We are people here -> HUMAN BEINGS, not parrots who do not think and only repeat what has been told to us. Think of those terms and use them, they will help you a lot for your mental growth and knowledge of what's around you.

  • @burnthisvillage Are you seriously calling people brain-washed and ignorant. First of all, you don't know shit about anything that is going on in the mid-east because all you have as a source from wherever you are is (corporate) CNN and its completely biased "facts". So what does this tell us, you are the one who is CLEARLY ignorant and brain-washed (unless the trend for knowing what's around you is knowing "facts" from those corporate (jewish) news sources).

  • @burnthisvillage First of all, saddam never tried to control anyone, all he cared about was helping his country advance and make reforms to the arab world, thats why you see people loving him and cheering for him. Your accusation actually comes through linking those people loving him to the people he killed (who were actually traitors who wanted to build their own country inside iraq (Kurds)).

  • @cleo0399 if you think its "shit", why do want it translated.
