  • Want to get one but many of the reviews talk about a plastic-y taste and often the black interior begins to rot. Smell can't be washed out or baked off. Have you found that to be true?

  • how does it work all shiny metals are pointing straight up i know a parabolic dish works

  • cornbread, beans, ham and collard greens! yum!

  • A Fresnel lens with a cast iron dutch oven works great also, it does get alot hotter than a solar reflector type oven. Nice video, thanks.

  • It should get to 250F in about 10 minutes

  • Flake

  • My 13 yr old son and I made a Sun-brella, a foil lines umbrella. We were able to get a nice pot of brown rice out of it but we had to deal with quite a bit of wind today. I LOVE the sun oven!

  • I built a few ovens. I like the feature of the swing rack. I prop my pot up with a rack using a piece of wood but if you raise up the ovens angle too much, and if your pot if full like mine with broth and chicken, oops a spill. nice oven there.
