Umaro will only join if Mog is in the party, so Mog and everyone else beat him to death... and well, you get him back though. He's very strong.

  • Does his power really increase that much? You didn't give him even a chance.

  • No. One the GBA version it kind of does. When is evade stat goes up you can barely attack him on GBA. But on SNES you can due to the evade glitch.

  • True, what I like about SNES is that you can forget about being blinded or having someone with a high Evade stat completely. It may be a glitch, but it's a convenient one.

  • I thought blinded cut your hit rate in half.

  • Umaro was useless as a charachter...I rarely used him. Maybe 5 times in the entire game

  • Umaro have 17200 in this fight, but when he joins you, the max. HP is 9999.

  • I've never missed anything on my SNES playthrough so far (it's my first ever time playing this game on SNES though, all the previous playthroughs were on GBA).
