Hollywood Shuffle is an 80's movie starring Robert Townsend. This movie has a bunch of hilarious scenes. It's very low budget, but brilliant in its portrayal of Hollywood dealing with black actors.

Thanks so much for posting this for the attention of the wider world. A very underrated film.Like you said the budget was tiny, and when it was released this film received next to no promotion, but I think it stands up next to similar material from other performers of that era.

True @Kurtiz76. This film was too clever for Hollywood. And too true,no doubt. Great scene in a great film. Comic brilliance throughout. I'm often heard misquoting 'They might even let you lock up the place' to some low aspiration Tiny. Seeing this scene again, I really like how the Dreams theme is played out. After all, Mr Jones has a dream too. But like Theo Paphitis(Dragon's Den, BBC UK) reminds us, there's Great Ideas. and either Great or Poor execution. Although...Whoe cakes...?!! :-D

This is one of the most underrated movies of all times. I can still quote it all! I had the pleasure of meeting John Witherspoon a few years ago & brought this movie up, the first thing I said to him was "Winky Dinky Dawwwwg"
