I think you mean because you DON'T want the cells to be stretched and squeezed as the wood expands and contracts, because that is what would happen if you put silicon around the edges instead of just in the center of the back.
-
Next time if you drill first before painting then you avoid chipping the paint and having to cover it with sillicone

at 6:00 minutes there is a trick to using silicone.....try to wet your fingers a bit, myself I lick my fingers then I smear the silicone around the hole to get it nice and smooth (it doesnt stick to your fingers). Some may use a bit of water. That is a cable guy trick from my brother. Thanks for the video and using a grommet technique to make a professional look. Cheers Robert!

Sun spots and solar energy systems--does all this solar activity create any kind of risk of overloading a solar energy system?

Why are you using a wood backer when some others are glass backers? I haven't watched all your videos yet but I will soon. Thanks, Jimmy

Hello Rob,
great job in these videos. My daughter and I had a great moment in watching all the videos and takes notes. I was wondering where to buy some cells for a project? and can you elaborate a little more about the positive side and the negative side of each cell and how to connect all of them together. We get a little confused about the (+) and (-) side of 1 cell. My daughter said she think you'll be something big one day and keep on the good work.
