Oh no! You had a 'Pretty Woman' experience on Rodeo Drive!! You should have gone back with all your shopping bags and said "Big mistake.... Huge!!" Hahaha.
I'm guessing you didn't end up buying any Louboutin's after that experience?!

Did you have to tip at retail stores? I live in the states and have never heard of that. In the past few years I have noticed the tip jar appearing in some obscure places that sometimes do not seem appropriate. We may tip more often, but I do believe it should not be expected, otherwise people can become complacent in the service they provide.

What is the style name of that gorgeous Coach bag?

@kizz101 How awful. That kind of thing would upset me for days. Rudeness and unprofessionalism irks the hell out of me. Well, I'm glad you didn't let that one incident ruin your fun though :o)

I went to the largest Forever 21 store in the world which is in Las Vegas and was dumbfounded at the entrance. I didn't know where to start! hahaha it took me a while but I bought some stuff, so I know exactly how you feel! =0)

@kristyyum I'm going to do a video on how I do my hair so I will explain what I have then :)

@VivaLaPoetess I asked to try a pair of shoes on and she pretty much tossed them at me and left... but there was no one else in the store...

Did you ask the lady at the Jimmy Choo store for help and she just ignored your request?
I recently had a presentation from an Australian graduate student in my Economics class and he spoke about tipping in the US vs Australia. One of his key points was that minimum wage in Aus is $15/hr; which is striking against the $7.25/hr in the States. So while inflation plays a role and this is not the only reasoning, that is why we Americans tip for most services...especially due to the fact that many people do not make min. wage (ie. waiters, illegal immigrants).

@lindsfinan8 I didn't realise the minimum wage was so low! Its still hard to get used to haha, such a different mindset :P

Oh! That *always* bugs me about the tax not being included - it just feels so dodgy going to the register and then being told a different price! Again.... super amazed at your haul! :)

@missgiggly Haha its choose your own tax time :P

just in case you were still curious about the tax not being included in the price tag, it's because the actual sales tax is different in every state, in some there is none and can be as high as 10%. also the reason that you tip is because waiters don't get paid the hourly minimum wage, but rather a lot lower because employers factor in that they will receive tips. just some info in case you were still curious :) love the stuff you got!

@kathyus2007 I realise, its just something different from here because the 10% goods and services tax is included in the price :P Its such a shame the minimum wage is so low, employers shouldn't rely on tips but thats just personal opinion :P
