@BeulahLips all i have is exhaust and its better to keep it in third, fourth is o/d and the car just falls on its face. ive tried both.

I find this video easily believable. I'd even believe that the car is almost 100% stock (would need to have a tune to get rid of the speed limiter). I had my S/C Monte at 126 mph bone stock and it still had a bit left so I have no doubt that a 300+hp V8 is capable of 150+mph in an Impala.

I have a 2008 Impala SS. Will the car top out at that speed unmodified? No cutout?

At 5500 it's doing 140 which calculated correctly with the stock 3.08 gears and tires, in third (direct) gear. It looks like he just made it to 5800 which is 153mph, so yes the speedo stops reading at 140.
QUESTION IS: 1. Is this car all stock? The stock SS pulls to 5800? 2. If you had shifted to overdrive, would it keep pulling in 4th (OD), or would it actually go faster in third? I hope someone with a stock SS that has tried both can answer. Thanks.
