In this video I show the progress of the allotment, it was first dug over nearly two months ago and left for the weather and frost to break it down, over the past few weeks I have periodically raked the soil into a usable bed to eventually plant out into. This week we have divided the area into four plots so we are able to rotate the crops we grow, this will help alleviate club root. We have fertilised each one but we have to leave the plots for at least 7 days for the fertiliser to start working, if you plant before this time the roots of the plants will be damaged.

The produce we have grown in previous videos had been taken from indoors and placed in the potting shed to harden off, for one week, this week we have moved them into a cold frame continuing the hardening off process in readiness to be planted out.

Next week we will be planting Onions and shallots into our newly prepared allotment.

Thanks for watching and please keep the comments coming in.
