A quick noodle on a Gibson ES-333 with Duncan Seth Lovers. As if the playing isn't corny enough, the recording is about as basic as it gets. I used an old Johnson J-Station (Fender Blackface clean and Mesa Recto dirty)directly into the cheezy mic input on my computer and recorded with the generic Windows wav recorder. Then I lumped it with a picture of the guitar into this video. These 333 guitars are very cool and a nice alternative to the more expensive 335.

  • How much is the gibson ES-335 whit a bigsby?

  • @angelzombich - No idea, ask a dealer.

  • Are these in neck or bridge position?

    Thanks!

  • Clean was the neck, distorted was the bridge. Both are Seth Lovers.

  • That sounds surprisingly good distorted, what effects are you using? Is that the basic recto distortion?

  • Man that color is nice looking. Been wanting a real Es-335 and just oufnd one craigs list but the guy wants new pricing for it. Plus it is red. I want the brown like this one.

  • @mostmusicisbad I agree man... semi hollow tone is just fantastic

  • can someone could explain me the difference between the 333 and 335?

  • @mostmusicisbad as a kid I used to love Ibanez, thought they were just pure metal. God, was I wrong. I totally agree and use that term to describe semi-hollows myself. I think of a semi-hollows as the most exquisite female specimen when it comes to looks and sound....with the biggest pair of balls hanging out it's g-string.

  • Hagstrom Viking deluxe will still kick it's ars and for a fraction of the price.

  • Semi-hollows have such a big balls-out sound. They are relatively popular in heavy rock but I'm surprised they aren't used more in out and out metal. There's more to life than the humbucker'd superstrat surely?

  • The Seth Lovers are great pickups. I liked them better than a pair of PAFs that I had. They aren't wound too hot which is why they sound good. The regular Antiquities are great too.

  • GREAT TONE!!! i've seen you around the HC forums i believe...
