A book trailer for a recently released novel.

Leif, a 14 year old boy from Hawaii, learns of a "unique teaching style" at a place called Lamia, a Scientology boarding school, in a remote corner of the Pacific Northwest. Desperate to escape his current school and his domineering father, Leif enrolls. At first blush the Lamia School seems to be a dream come true, but soon Leif discovers darker and more sinister intentions than educating young minds. Stranded far from home, Leif must maneuver through a world of zealous students, totalitarian teachers and brutal punishments, while striving to make friends, find love, and cope with all the trials of adolescents. If Leif survives the insidious Lamia School, what kind of Adult will be forged in this contemporary coming-of-age novel?

  • Good trailer! I read the book and wrote a review at Amazon. This is an profound, touching and well written fictionalized story from the perspective of bright but dyslexic teenager who makes the choice to attend a boarding school he knows almost nothing about rather than become the failure his father has already decided he will probably be. Little does he know what he has gotten himself into and where it will take his life. This is a ' must read ' book!

  • @4Christ4ever Thank you so much for your kind comment. I always love to hear was readers think of the book. If you know of anyone else who's read it, tell them to not be shy and let me know what they thought. Thanks again.

  • Spooky! This reminds me of a school I went to in Oregon. These places really exist. Is this a movie? Where can I find it?

  • Not a movie yet, just a book.

  • @ScientologyStudentMM "A prove method" Proven by whom? Qualified by whom? You're making some extraordinary claims but you back them up with nothing. After 40 years, where are the Nobel Laureates? The leading scientists, writers, artists? They don't exist. How could they? Applied Scholastics is nothing more than a Scientology front group. You've had ample opportunity to show otherwise and you have failed. This isn't about me. You can either back up your claims or you can't. Good luck.

  • @312Anon Our students will stand head and shoulders above others (of course, there will always be exceptions). Please stop your indoctrinations that you are trying to pull over on these readers. We are a prove method, fully qualified and with some 40 plus years of experience. Again, I ask you, why do you attack us, did you ever go to an APPLIED SCHOLASTIC school? Were you ever a Scientologist? What other groups do you hate?

  • Your "satisfied students and parents" are Scientologists and "way above average" only in their own narrowly focused minds. Study Tech is not an educational tool, it is a tool of indoctrination. It's aims are to strip away the students critical thinking skills, replacing them with mindless obedience to "source". There are many qualified alternative educational programs available to those who seek them. Programs with proven qualifications. Hubbard had no qualifications, neither does his tech.

  • @ScientologyStudentMM

Dismissed for their "antisocial behavior"? Are you implying that your study tech may have failed these "propagandists"? How is that possible? Would such failures surrounding Scientology's so-called "study tech" possibly account for why Scientology's Delphi schools aren't accredited in any state? Why attempts at integrating the Applied Scholastics Scientology front group in public schools has been so roundly criticized by parents and educators throughout the country?
