NYPD Undercover Taxi

I was in NYC one night and saw this biker dude being ticketed by a plainclothes cop who pulled him over in a friggin' yellow cab!.. I wonder if he picks up fares when hes not busting people.. =) -Gene

@Maat922 you are full of crap. The local Sharif's department has at least one white slick top chevy impala with no external lights, stickers or antennas... none. It is a speed and traffic enforcement vehicle from what i can tell. Ive seen it w/ customers a few times along side of the road. The law is that you need to drive safe - if you never know when a cop is or isnt near you, you might just drive better. call your local pd and tell them the same line of bull your posting here.

@TPM75108 that is why in new york state those wig wag lights, strobes and other warning lights are illegal. Even volunteer firemen can only have one blue light on their personal car with no wig wags or strobes. Personally owned trucks used for plowing driveways and for construction can use yellow strobes and/or yellow roof beacon. Cops in NY use red & blue take down lights w/ wig wags & strobes. many Sharif cars are just white slick tops (darn impalas blend in)
