This is the first video I've finished from the S.C. Draft Horse Association Plow day, held just up the road from us March 7, 2009. It was supposed to be the week before, but got rained out. Because of the postponement there weren't as many there as had been expected, but it was a beautiful, if windy, day and great fun.
This video has a young mule being shown around the field by a larger and more experienced animal. The people you hear off camera are the lady who owns the younger mule and two gentlemen helping with the training. The younger sounding of the two is being very reasonable about the little mule's progress; this despite the fact that he has a baggy full of ice duct-taped to his wrist as a result of a swift kick during the harnessing procedure.
The part about being behind them most of the time adds some excitement, too.
