  • That's A Golden Orb Weaver, pretty much harmless

  • @galianas That transmission actually dates back to 1950, it was jointly developed between the Detroit Division of Borg Warner and Studebaker for use in Studebaker cars, it was a pretty advanced automatic for the time until Chrysler came out with the Powerflyte and later the Torqueflyte. In any event they produced it in the U.S until 1956 until Studebaker switched over to using the Ford automatics (also made by Borg Warner) because it was cheaper then Studebaker using it's own unique automatic.

  • I have never seen an anti-rollback on a car in the US, manual or automatic. What manufacturers usually include them? I only have ever seen them on buses.
