@noiseybeast I understand where you're coming from, and it's not a great situation for someone in those shoes. But perhaps minimum wage is the most this person can obtain in the marketplace. If so, raising the minimum wage to an extra two or three dollars might mean he won't get hired anywhere, and so his options will be reduced even further.

@phil8888 . People can't just "leave" a job without other options. Over 200 million Americans have less than $1000 in the bank and of those that are working usually work 2 jobs just to keep up. You can't just go
"I don't need to pay my mortgage or have insurance because I don't like this place that happens to be the only place that is still hiring in town because some idiots voted in corporate whores who sent the jobs overseas"
Get some perspective. People like you are killing America!

He's absolutely right, and he's actually showing why minimum wage is unnecessary. He was offered a particular wage and he refused it. Someone else who has no job and no choices may gladly accept that wage. No one forces someone to work at a certain wage, and people need to stop complaining about a wage. If they don't like it, leave.

I think it's "Mrs. many throat" Yeah, but it's in there. I don't think this character has a name but he's hilarious.
"...do I want to work for as little money as is legally possible?"
LOL excellent satire!
