I just sold my VW bus after 2 years... I drove over 70 000km (44 000 miles) around Canada, USA and Mexico!

Have a look!

  • Hey guys.. it's for sale on lespac.com have a look!

  • Wow, just wow! Solar panel, reinforced cabinets, 12V system... I can tell that a lot of love when into this vehicle.

I wanted to say that watching your vids was the deciding factor in purchasing my own VW Van for my tour across Canada.

    À bientôt!

  • @sailcat662 Greattt ! Post a video of yours when you'll get it! I will definitely buy another one soon or later!

  • @micmaheux I am now living in one myself - working and running a company at the same time as travelling around. I am very curious about the battery system you have there. I am considering traction batteries - 2 x 6V being the suggestion although I may go for 1 x 12V and then maybe setting up a second one in parallel. What solution did you go for?

  • @alanheath 2x6v is probably the best option... I was using batteries from a Golf Kart... lot of power!

  • hey.

my buddy and i will be travelling across canada, the us, and mexico as well. 70,000kms is a long way, but it sounds hella fun

yours looks really kickass. since we arent leaving for another 2 years, we are buying a really cheap one and fixing it up. save on costs.

any advice you can give or any recommendations?

what was the gas mileage like. how many kms per tank and how far could you go on a tank

    thanks dude

  • @honeycomb1000 gas mileage is very bad ! between 10 and 20 ! I was able to drive about 250 miles on a tank from what I remember... You'll spend more money on gasoline than anything else but it's worth it !

  • Thump up if, when you see these westfalia you think about have sex in it.

  • @micmaheux In that case they were almost certainly traction batteries. Do you remember how many amp hours you got out of them? With an 80W solar panel though you are going to get a lot of what you use each day replaced even without moving the car far!

  • @batfly It is definitely the way to live!

  • @alanheath

    Sweet!

  • @micmaheux Mine is newer - I get around 8 litres / 100km - around 35mpg (UK)

  • that engine sounds like a WW1 bi-plane. lol Great set up though. I could live full time in that...
