It is better, so the Fourth Amendment teaches us, that the guilty sometimes go free than the citizens be subject to easy arrest. -- William O. Douglas (1898-1980), Henry v. United States, 1959
************************************************************
I get held at a internal immigration checkpoint, by Agent Hornsby of Ajo Station, until I say I am a US Citizen. This was on northbound SR85, between Ajo and Gila Bend.
I am not anti-border patrol. This is not an immigration issue to me. This is about the 1st amendment right against compelled speech and the 4th amendment right against unreasonable search and seizure. My goal is not to villify the BPA, but to educate and encourage others to think independently about their rights.
If 10% of drivers did what I did, they would have to remove the roadblock because it would screw up traffic too bad. We empower these types of actions by our complacence.

  • How hard is it to answer if you are a american Citizen? It not polite to be a smart ass to any one,and its not hard to answer a simple question. This has nothing to do with any ones freedoms, this has to do with smart ass replies to simple question. The day we all need to worry,is the day we have to show id.

  • @mystic81006 I'm not upset about the question, it is the roadblock that bothers me. Also, the day they can force you to show ID, it is too late to resist. We need to fight these police state measures now, before they are "normal."

  • It's hard to stand up for your rights when everyone around you are clearing giving up theirs.

That dude was cool for standing up for his rights. Imagine if all of us did that... There's no way in hell this crooked government could get away with the things they are doing.

  • Keep your doors locked, and don't open them.

  • Semper Fi!! Don't give an inch.

  • @richellederrik83 So its a loose win situation, we loose more privacy for the chance our children are safe from evil people.Do I support them??? Hell no,they are the mark of the beast coming true right in front of our eyes. BUT,I DO UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE TRYING TO DO WHAT THEY DO.

  • @richellederrik83 you are only as free as you wish to be in all reality.First we need laws, need them, have to have some laws set up.If no laws, then any one can kill or steal from any one.I agree with you about privacy but at the same time don't and here is why.If we are to stop a murder who loves to kill and ask for his id,but he refused, but you know for a fact he would kill your whole family that day,You would love him to be stopped.

  • @mystic81006 This has been set up over the last 20 years. First they take our privacy, next they take away our freedom to travel our country freely.Kinda reminds me of having to show your official papers from Mother Russia at request of any officer,or the same thing in Nazi Germany.Kinda like when the 'free' african americans had to have papers proving they were free during the end of the downfall of slavery in the USA.Where does it end?I miss America before the BS happened.Things were good...
