This was made for the Christian Filmmakers 24 hour film contest. As 'we' the writers were three girls, the movie was origionally going to be a sappy, over-dramatic romance named 'Forever Amore.' But, finding ourselves in a shortage of decent eqipment, (and willing males who didnt care about their dignity), we began to wonder whether it would turn out like just another silly, low-quality YouTube drama.
So what did we do? Instead of submitting the film - we submit a documentary on the MAKING of the film. Clips from throughout the day of filming are show here in a documentary about the making of a YouTube video.
Do Enjoy!
For the contest, we had to include three safety items:
Cheerios
Mismatched Socks
The line "That better not be what I think it is."
Watch out for them! ;)
Tempting as it may be to use copyrighted material: Don't! You can make good movies without it. You were certainly set up to do so with the opening shot. Loved it.
However, the rest of the movie didn't really work. The characters lacked any kind of believability, which is different from "over the top". Though, I did love: "I love this tree!" That works.
Also, make sure you don't have too much "headroom" above your character's heads (especially in the interviews).
Keep making movies. -Luke

Thanks so much for your recommendations! the opening shot also uses a copyright song - the same Josh Groban song as later on. If you can, could you tell me what else you can use for music? Are there places to get non-copyright music to use for moviemaking?
Thanks again for your comment :)

thanks! I remember when we watched it for the first time, we had tried to make it over-dramatic and actually sat there going "coooool......"
