In 1962 a seemingly unprecedented and bizarre event took place in Tanzania and Uganda. School rooms of children would begin laughing without explanation. The laughing continued for days and schools were closed. Whereupon it spread to entire towns until over 30,000 people in Tanzania and Uganda were laughing. The epidemic supposedly went away but he documentary Laughology reveals it may never have ended.
