Cherry Blossoms 2010 (花見)

Video and photos from a quick after work visit to Hirakiyama Park on Hakatajima. The sakura were gorgeous, and fully open. Unfortunately, it rained the very next day, so I couldn't make a return visit to catch the snow-like effect of the petals falling. The rains likely knocked the petals down. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my stroll through the park.

@d4veg I know what you mean - but when you're there in person, it's hard to cut things short. I was walking around filming and taking pictures for what felt like 30 minutes but was closer to 3 hours! Ha ha. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it.

Though I have to say, most people's videos or photos don't do it justice but yours was awesome!

@mguerard Hiya! This park is known for its massive cherry trees - the ones along the walking paths are especially gigantic. Others are about the same height as dogwoods, though. (Another favorite of mine!) Thanks for the comment. :-)
