In this video, product manager for SQL Server High Availability, Gopal Ashok, demonstrates how you can easily migrate from a database mirroring configuration to the new AlwaysOn Availability Group feature in SQL Server code named Denali.
This is helpful when your application requires multiple databases to function. Where if 1 database is to fail, all should fail over. In Database mirroring it was not automatic to group databases and fail over. You would have had to setup an agent job to manually fail over the other db's..
i means whats the point of it. is not it same as clustering. but i did not see san there also it look like i can take 2 different machines in 2 different geographical location and make them part of Aavailability group? is this correct?
