Angela Pleasence as Catherine Howard in the BBC mini series, 'The Six Wives of Henry VIII'. Starring Keith Michell as Henry VIII and Patrick Troughton as Norfolk.
Norfolk really led a charmed existence. He was set to be executed in January 1547 (his nephew, Henry Howard, had already been beheaded), but then was saved by the death of Henry. He languished in prison while Edward became old enough to rule in his own right, and just as he was again about to be executed, Edward died. It amazes me as to why Mary pardoned him, other than the fact that both were Catholic. Norfolk, after all, helped to oust Catherine of Aragon in favor of Anne Boleyn.
thank you so much for uploading this - really enjoyed watching the whole programme!!
