Striders are one of my favorite vid game enemies ever. I was very impressed how valve designed them to be so smart and mobile, yet so freakin huge. You go in a tunnel and they fucking crouch down and shoot inside it. Awsome

How do you make players sympathize with a 50-foot monstrosity that can knock down 98% of their health in one hit? Easy, make it sound like a lonely whale... I love that sound

@baileyboy007007 actually, not much to a Strider. It takes 10 or more of those orbs to kill one Strider while it only takes 3-5 rockets or 10 SMG grenades.
