Video trailer for the new one-act musical comedy from Boll & Hertel Productions. Tech Support: The Musical will be performed in Eau Claire (WI) on July 25, in Menomonie (WI) on July 25, and at the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival in Minneapolis from July 30-August 9.

A deceptive company, clueless customer service representatives, and one angry caller make for a roaring good time in this original musical comedy written by UW-Eau Claire alumni Adam Boll and Josh Hertel.

When Carl Rogers' high-tech refrigerator malfunctions, he calls the manufacturer for help and is plunged into a world of frustration as he is transferred from one phone operator to another. He endures endless hold music and butchered variations of the English language - not to mention the pointed sarcasm of his unsympathetic wife - until the inevitable explosion occurs.

The audience soon discovers that the call center employees have recently been retrained in an unusual way to discourage customers from staying on the line. Unbeknownst to Carl, the company has stopped manufacturing appliances and is now peddling an entirely different product, leading to a severe case of mistaken identity. Featuring a talented cast of nine accompanied by a six-piece live band, it all adds up to holds, hang-ups, and hilarity in this snarky, politically incorrect comedy directed by regional stage and screen veteran, Michael Cook.

Tech Support: The Musical will strike a chord with anyone who has ever called for help and wished they hadn't. It's fast, it's funny, and it's much shorter than your average tech support call!
