The latest addition to the Melbourne Museum (March 2008) is the 'single largest exhibition' about Melbourne ever produced. The Melbourne Story celebrates Melbourne's evolution from the early 1800's to its current status as a thriving metropolis.

The centerpiece of this exhibition is the Dynamic Map, designed, produced and installed by ENESS. Melbourne Museum curators and producers enthusiastically collaborated on our treatment for a display with depth and interactivity that would depict Melbourne's physical growth to multiple viewers at any one time.
Visually the Dynamic Map installation is an assortment of 40 different sized plinths that act as an alternative viewing hub for an animated short and a collection of archival images. Both video and stills are grouped into time periods and as eras pass viewers witness for themselves Melbourne's simultaneous cultural shift and physical growth.
ENESS' interactive trademark is also in play, as patrons near the installation their presence imposes images to flip, float and fade from individual plinths across sculpture. It is a journey of self discovery through Melbourne's ancestral history.
