Mona Bougainville Festival featured the Tatok Band coming from the Pororan Island on the West Coast of Buka Island off Bougaiville.
Translation of Tatok in Pororan language can mean "village youths standing on the island's beach and waiting for their fellow villagers working in town to go home and spend a weekend with them".
The eight-piece bamboo band equipped with a keyboard and sound mixer is set to make headlines and headwaves right throughout the region. This is the second bamboo band to come from the island.T he youths numbering 39-20 boys and 19 dancing girls have come together to form this marvelous entertaining group.
Tatok Bamboo Band is the newest in the ever increasing Bougainville entertaining arena
