For a complete lesson on converting fractions to percents, go to http://www.yourteacher.com - 1000+ online math lessons featuring a personal math teacher inside every lesson! In this lesson, students learn to write percents as fractions and fractions as percents. For example, to write 6% as a fraction, remember that percent means "out of 100", so 6% can be written as the fraction 6/100, which reduces to 3/50. So 6% can be written as the fraction 3/50. To write 7/10 as a percent, set up the proportion 7/10 = x/100, then use cross products to get (7)(100) = (10)(x), or 700 = 10x, and dividing both sides by 10, 70 = x. So 7/10 can be written as 70%.

  • Why is everyone either complaining that it's not they way they learned to do it, or feeling the need to show that their method is superior? This is one video with one approach to one problem. The world is full of diverse learners; the world is full of diverse teachers. I'm sorry if she didn't cover every method in a minute and 37 seconds. There's nothing wrong with her approach. Some will find it amazing, others will find different ways more amazing. Respect.

  • @TheWakeOfRedemption shit im saying lol

  • Huh?

  • bad maths. over complicated. Yes, if you pay attention you'll get it, but as bluesryhtm said a few posts ago. Its far easier than that. poor resource.

  • What a fucking load of shit. WE DONT DO MATHS LIKE THIS IN ENGLAND. What the fucks the N number for?

  • hey whoever says ur wrong or something offensive just ignore it because if they actually payed attention to u then they will get it

  • thank you i learned something X)

  • what a load of rubbish, bad teacher. just divide 3 by 20 = 0.15. Then times by 100 = 15. Glad this woman wasn't at my school.

  • @Knicksboy792 just divide the 25 with 100 that gets you 4 and then multiply your problem with 4 which gets you 12/100, so the answer is 12%

  • or you could multiply the whole thing by 5, which gets you 15/100, which equals to 0.15 which is equal to 15%
