Really awesome song by a great artist, Sergio Altamura. A fun one to play - leaves lots of room for improvisation with the E-Bow.

Guitar: Yamaha FG730S
Pickup: L.R. Baggs M1 Active
Tuning: CGDGBE
Recorded with Garageband
E-Bow used during synthesis portions

  • @holyman668 The pedal itself is a loop pedal. Whatever I play into it, it will loop back repeatedly so I can play overtop of it. The reverse came from the loop pedal so that was the entire backing. Then I played overtop of it and eventually looped some things over it. At 2:55 you see me bring up an "E-Bow" Check it out on google and they do a full FAQ about how it works and what it is

  • @RileyAcoustic and one last question was the reverse used for the sound going on in the background of your guitar playing or was it the thing that changed the sound of your guitar? If it wasn't what changed the sound of your guitar what did?

  • @RileyAcoustic thanks for clearing all that up for me ! Definitely subbed and Favorited this video thanks again :)

  • @holyman668 By using the loop pedal I got the sound at 0:41 using its "reverse" feature. The LR Baggs M1 is the white pickup in the soundhole that allows me to plug an instrument mic into the guitar. The LR Baggs amplifies the sound to an amp/computer/output. Thank you very much! Glad you are interested.

  • @RileyAcoustic so by using the loop pedal and the lr baggs m1 you got the sound at 0:41 just using the pedal give you that sound? or is there a specific setting you need to set it at? Im a begginer guitarist that is getting the yamaha fg730s and is eventually getting a pickup for it and a pedal so im just wondering because that was truly beautiful playing.

  • @holyman668 Hey man. If you look in the top right at 0:41 , you see me press my foot on the pedal. Thats a Boss Loop Pedal. Not only did I loop my chord progression, but I also used the "reverse" feature. About the FG730S. You can make any guitar acoustic electric with a pickup. I installed a basic LR Baggs M1 Active Soundhole pickup.. the white thing in my soundhole. You can go more technical and expensive with K & K or miniflex pickups that sound a ton better and pick up percussion well.

  • @RileyAcoustic what did you do to get that beautiful sound at 0:41? :O it is awesome.

  • @RileyAcoustic how did you get the 730s to be an acoustic electric guitar?

  • @BGjoeel Hey sorry for the delayed response. It is an E-Bow. A really cool little tool that synthesizes the guitar strings. I am not doing a very good job of explaining.. look it up on google and their website has an awesome FAQ for it!

  • @erikkaldahl Thank you very much! That is nice to hear. Definitely my favorite song to play.. I always have this guitar tuned to it and when I need to relax I just play it through :) Thanks for watching!
