If "Government bailout" is a forbidden word, then American SHALL NOT use Freedie Mac or Fannie Mae as their mortgage service provider, buying insurance from A.I.G., and use any service from Citigroup and Bank of America...

@flatblackstrat "Ford accepted a $5.9 billion loan subsidy under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA). The EISA loan is designed to help the auto industry by supporting “capital investments in facilities designed to produce vehicles with greater fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.”
GM and Chrysler took federal loans because they really needed the money and both were facing bankruptcy while Ford never really needed anything!

I love Ford, but that was a low blow to GM and Chrysler because any auto company can see a downturn in sales. But Ford did see what was about to go down a year or so before the recession was coming, and stock market started to fall. So they sold Land Rover,Jaguar, and Aston Martin so that they could concentrate on just Ford cars.
Still, it's good to see that the big 3 are getting back to what they do, but a bit more smarter I hope.

I'm a Ford fan but this is equalvilent of shoving your 100% mark on your test to a person who used to be good and went for extra help.

The guy in the Ford commercial, where does he do his banking? Does he bank at a bank that was bailed out, or did he changes banks when they were bailed out. If you're going to use that kind of scrutiny, you have to apply it across the board.
